Who is Farid Industrie spa:
The history of the group originated in the early 1970s.
Farid at that time produced trailers, car transporters, and special bodies.
Only since the mid-1980s has the business focused on the construction of waste collection vehicles.

Therefore, in order to overcome the critical size threshold useful to acquire a more international scope, a qualitative leap is necessary.
Thus, starting in 1994, a campaign of acquisitions of other leading Italian companies in the sector began to take shape, which later, in 2014, was also enhanced by the acquisition of the European subsidiary based in Scotland of the American giant Heil.
In 2019, it takes over its capital from the Faun-Zoeller Group.
This transaction marks the birth of the largest industrial group in Europe in the Ecology machinery sector.

Implementation of Augmented Reality Glasses
The project, born out of the need to provide timely assistance anywhere in the world, makes use of a “kit” called Remote Master, consisting of a modem for connecting the machine and RealWear glasses.
Operation of the Remote Master system
Using adedicated application, the Customer Service team can remotely connect to the machine, view errors and diagnose problems in real time, working side by side with the operator on site, whether an authorized workshop technician or a dealer.

The glasses allow the operator to work hands-free, in total safety, while the help desk can observe live what the operator sees, sharing visual instructions, wiring diagrams or directions via augmented reality.
At the end of each session, software connected to the glasses automatically generates a detailed report of the activity performed, useful both for documenting the intervention and for creating new troubleshootings.

The experience began with service to the Department of Sanitation of New York City (DSNY), where the need for immediate support in case of downtime is critical.
The tool was also successfully presented to dealers during the IFAT show in Munich, where it was highly praised for its ability to reduce the distance between Farid service and the end customer.
